Just finished the book Fighter Pilot by Mac "Serge" Tucker, of his times as an FA-18 pilot with the RAAF.

Interesting that he should pick Matt Hall to fly with in a 1 on 1 for his last flight, as he said he wanted to go out knowing that he was still on top of his game against the best.

Who won? I could tell but you would miss out on a great story, go read the book

Love the way he hangs on to the rear mudguard in the corners - just waiting to grind his fingers off

forget cutting the grass, how about if you want to cut it so fine and fast, you can chop it down to it's bare atoms with this thing!

Hartley H1 with a couple of hairdryers on it. Basically two hyabusa top ends onto a custom bottom end. 2.8L 1000hp / 500ftlbs torque at 2 bar. Base engine, no snails is only 100 KG and 400 HP @ 10,000 rpm.

If we are talking about power to weight, check out suters new 500 GP bike. It was made as a replacement for the legends GP series as the old parts for 500GP bikes were as rare as hens teeth back in the day, impossible to find now.

It's got a special entry in the IOMTT with a couple of "known" IOM winners, so it will be interesting to see.

Suter have been designing bikes and engineering for other manufacturers for years , won a couple of moto2 championships of late, and apparently working with ducati this year in motoGP

The specs. 195 HP out of 576 cc V4 2 stroke. weight is 127 KG.

Putting the weight of this thing into perspective, is a Honda CRF450 motocross bike comes in at 110 kg

power to weight is just plain silly! I'm betting a lot of modern electronic aids are on this thing otherwise flipping the thing or high-siding it into next week is definately on the cards!

99 will be made at a cost of 120, 000 Euros. Plans are also on the table for a road version.

Need to be an alien to ride one of those things Gouch and a cashed up one at that.

Nothing to do with RC once again..... But I know there are a few bikers out there.
Just had my first road race.
Round 1 Sippy Downs Queensland series rookie class (D grade, no points for beginners).
Did a stack better than I expected. Ended up 3rd for the day and next race will move to the proper 600 class where my lap times should put me mid field.
Funny enough I got to thank a whole lot of RCers that helped me.
Alkoo for Twist of Wrist 2 book , Gouch giving some Tech advise and Timbuck for crazy paint that helped blind the opposition.

The pore old BM had problems before we even got to Bathurst. We built a new engine only to find out that the crank takes a 6 bolt flywheel instead of the normal 8 bolt. The stock flywheel is a duel mass flywheel and wouldn't last, we run a full race one. Then we put the new trick turbos in the old engine only to have them fail from some foreign crap in the intake. So we ran the old engine with the old turbos.
The bottom radiator hose just failed after about 6 laps but took about 45 minutes to change because its in a crap spot under the front turbo.
Then at about 6 hours the old turbos couldn't take anymore and gave up, so we sat the car in the box until the last lap. We started 35th and finished 20th.

Darn. Sound rough. I would hate to think of the man hours and money taken to show for a race like that Zipper only for that to happen. At least the cars still in one piece.
