Well I must be one of few that thought carbon was better then plastic. Paid the extra $40.00 or so. Mine did come with battery and charger so cost was pretty much the same. IMO D01 v2 has edge over D03. I have both so do have an idea of what I say. That said both have been very good.
These helis are not 3 D stunt machines but are capable of inverted flight/ rolls/ loos etc. Thats fine by me. Buddie just wiped out Makado 500 heli.
Going to cost some moola to fixie.

Flying both D01 V2/ D03 has given me two go to FBL 450's. My goal was never to be a 3 D ace. nothing wrong with some arcobatics etc. I have seen some pretty nice helis go in with flyers with alot more experience then I. Things can go well for a long time and then go badly. 3 D needs helis designed to do so. WK 450's are not that heli. I did not expect that from start.
I have a Forza 450 3 D complete combo plus JR TX to go with it. If possible might go for three bladed version also. Thats a big if right now.
Possible Gaui X-3.
My E/Razor has been good and may get Scale body kit just to have flying Scale 4550. Very compact heli and dispite being fly-bared flys well.

Hopefully next weekend I'll get some time to have the D's in the air. Missing them badly at the moment as our new house has almost no back yard at all. Not even enough to fly the Master CP.

Thanks mate. I see you're using some 2700mah lipos now. Worth the upgrade? No real weight hit? Been considering doing similar.

Went for a walk this morning. There's a small park tucked away near a dog walking track. Probably big enough to fly my Super Cub slowly so the helis should be OK. Surrounded by trees and looks hardly used.

I found bigger battery has more kick and helis have no issue with size difference. Less chance of heating them up as resreve power at hand. I know more money but not much. D03 does better as weight in nose helps. Alot of 2200 ma batteries are crap on market as this size is also used in planks. Planks don't stress batteries as much as alot of coasting goes on. Helis coast when they crash.

Good to know. I'll be replacing some of my 2200mah zippys soon. They have been great but it's almost end of life for them.

I used zippy compacks in my Master c/p's. When you used them often they did pretty good. They puff early but still useable for awhile. The black label WK batteruies are horrible. The silver ones worked very well, but no longer can find them.

Yep. The black WK lipo sucks big time. Both of mine puffed up after about 4 flights. Absolutely rubbish. The zippies have done well fortunately.

My D01 developed a slight vibration in the tail yesterday afternoon. Belt has either stretched or came slightly loose. Tightened it up by a mm or so and all good.

So far my belts have not had problems but sure this summer may need to change them. That will be two years in July.

Changed the belt today. Appears to be ok but a little stretched as it required tightening again. New belt are no problems now.

Looking forward to some flying this weekend

Nice flight on D01 V2. My heli flying is much lower now due to other flying types. That said D01 V2 still remains as one of my favorite helis to fly. Right behind is a tie. D03/ v120D02s with HP08s one cell upgrade.

My flying over the weekend didn't happen. 40c plus and thunderstorms. Great combination. Flew some micros inside but it's not the same lol.
