What motor is in my Pitts?
I have the RTF Pitts from Banana Hobby and I cant find out what motor is in it. They list it as a 970KV outrunner on their site so I would like some specifics. I smoked the 20amp ESC with the standard 10 x 4.7 prop that came with it. Now I beefed up the ESC to a 36 amp and threw on a 10 x 7 prop. I need to know if the motor will take the load. I already have a couple flights with the new prop configuration and it flys great. I hope I'll get some longevety out of this motor. Any info on this motor would be appreciated.

My guess is it's a crappy mislabeled 1000kv outrunner that draws 25 amps at WOT with a 10x4.7SF prop. I doubt you'll get the specs you want without testing. Also, get yourself a watt meter
