Do you think you can get away with 6min flying time on a 1000mah on a 40"? I know you can do it on a 38".

We have some very talented pilots ( heli , 3D, all around) for a Renegade field.. The dirt strip is large and well groomed but summer dry weather does get it loose and sandy . So we practice good landing technique to save our wheeled friends... lol

I got a battery for a Plano Digital Fish Scale today and my Chopped and Clipped Yak 54 with out motor, 10 A esc, and battery weighs a paultry 7 oz. So I'ld guess It weighs about 10 oz. RTF. When I reinstall the motor I'll get it on the scale

and as far as motors all of the ones mike sells work great! with the lower Kv motor i run a 11x3.8 and really like it.I just started using the higher Kv on my revo and its really punchy,i wouldnt use anything bigger than a 10x3.8 though.

I got that motor from nano Dave on Adams reccomendation, of course he thought I would use it on one of Daves 3mm planes. But looking at it in my flight box since June was getting old and I had the 6mm Yak airframe for about as long ,,,,,,,,,,,so .....I figured Make the Yak, light as possible and gave it a shot.
The 2204/14 is tiny and will only handle a 8x3.8 APC on 3 s but it's plenty of power and gets 8 min on a 450 ma battery.
Now I've borrowed the motor to fly a Great planes VFO... So there's a very good chance the Yak will make it to the AMA show. James and I are gonna be working Nico Hobbies ,Pats booth so we'll have vendor credentials. But I'm still gonna let Eran fly it if he has the time. Or you can give it a flight... lol
When Mike teases me about the holes I'm gonna tell him he started it with all the holes in the control surfaces

The red "covering" is 99 cent store gift wrap applied with Elmers All Purpose Contact spray adhesive on the wing. And Saran wrap on the fuse. The plastic is applied to one side only

And that is exactly why I'm glad the event was not being filmed

So I was flying my 3s Beast 3D today and the CA I used on an old wing repair must have gotten brittle in the cold. The wing came flying off in a full speed dive and totaled the air frame. Thought it would be a good excuse to get my first DW foamie. I bought the 24in. Skua kit to swap in all my electronics. Think I can keep using my 3s 180 bats in it? They're about 4 grams heavier than the elifte 180s.

You are going to love that plane,much better than the beast and rudder is supper effective
