Hey if you guys like this stick you will love the giant big stick. I'm running a 12s set up on 8000mah packs and it's amazing with an easy 10 min flight. Vertical is good, but it's not crazy like the 4s set up I have on the electrostik

elevator throw

The manual calls for 6 mm elevator throw in high rates, 3.2 mm on low. Does anyone use those settings? Seems REALLY low!

new member in your Electro Stik family

Hello together,

when I started rc-flying 35 years ago, my most famost plane was the German Version of the Electro Stik, a plane called Jonny from WIK with a 15 ccm engine.
After a long break of 30 years, I again started to fly rc-planes one year ago as I will need to have a hobby when I retire
Meanwhile my focus is on 3D planes, preferable from Precision Aerobatics.

But I couldn't stop to remember the Jonny, so now I found it's replica in form of the Electro Stik

I searched the Internet an found this thread, scanned everything here and ordered the Electro Stik from Great Planes. Hope it'll arrive soon.

Available in my hobbyroom are the following components:

Motor: RimFire .32 Brushless (800 Umin/V), Great Planes # GPMG4700
BEC: Brushless D-Power COMET 60 A, 2-6 LiPo, 5A S-BEC
Servos: HS-5085 MG, DIGITAL, HiTEC # 113085
Batteries: Hacker Lipo 4S 3000 mAh

One queston left: which Propeller would you suggest acc. to your experience?

I have the following propellers in my hobbyrom: 11x7, 11x8.5, 12x8, 13x8 and VOX/XOAR wooden props 12x6, 13x5, 13x6, 14x7 and T40

Thanks a lot in advance for further tips & tricks what to improve when building up the plane,

Wolfgang

I use the VOX 13x8 on the 32 and it rips through the air!
I use a Castle ICE 75 and external BEC, same servos as you.
I'm balanced with a 4s 4000mah pack though

I'm flying a FirePower .46 720 Kv, SkyPower 60 Amp esc, Turnigy 4s 4000 Mah lipo and an APC 12x8e prop. Good speed and unlimited vertical. Had to move servos back to make room for the battery to get proper cg.

Regards

Dennis

PS: All electronics came from Heads Up Hobby in Florida, (headsuphobby, com)
