Yiboo/UJ??? Coax

I don't know what it is other than its a Yiboo UJxxx rc coax. Someone I know bought it, tore it up, and ended up giving it to me. I tore it down, fixed the main gears and broken tail motor, put a 120sr canopy on it, and rigged it out so I can also use my 600mAh 120sr packs. The silli thing doesn't fly so bad, but I'm going to convert the cheap radio to mode 2 next.

hello
it looks a lot like the UJ824 but can't be certain.
If not, it's likely to be one of the helis in the main listing page.
The 120SR canopy appears to be a good fit.

I looked for it on the UJ website, but I think it has been updated. The metal panels and canopys are different now. It's one of the 8" models I think. I had to drill the frame for CF canopy rods to get the 120 canopy to work.

Here's a better pic.... amazingly enough, the radio is similar and made cheaper than a 27 mhz Syma system, it seems to work way better. This thing hasn't dropped signal or done anything weird yet!

On that page, they list the Syma S107 size as being 7 or 8" models, so I think what you have there must be one of the larger types (11 inch?).
As you say, that exact one may not be there anymore.

Right... this one twice as big as a S107g. I thought I saw it listed by matching the original canopy, but that was a few months ago. The list has changed since then. The only one that looks close is a larger model I think.

Contemplating stepping up to bigger tail motor and prop combo. Since the radio seems to be reliable enough, why not try to get some speed out of the silly thing.

Overkill on the tail motor: 120sr motor installed. I have yet to balance out center of gravity, its a little tail heavy. Will run 120sr tail rotor once tests are complete.

CG balanced.... Initial flight test complete. Haven't had chance to open it up and attempt speed run yet.

2nd indoor test, with 120sr tail rotor blade installed successful. The Coax has plenty of tail thrust to kick the thing into a steep forward vector. I just hope the fly-bar can keep up. May have to remove some weight from the ends if it don't. Speed trial tomorrow.... or wind trial if weather doesn't cooperate.

Outside test complete. As can be seen in the video, trees were moving a bit due to wind. Yiboo Coax didn't do half bad. I did get a speed run or two later that evening, the thing moved pretty quick for a $30 piece of crap heli. I didn't get video of that yet. May still need to lighten the fly-bar a bit. The heli will pitch faster than the fly-bar can keep up, and ends up fouling up the rotor, with resultant drop if I pitch it too fast.
