I built one of double layers of DT and a third KFm-2 layer on the wing, but it was too heavy to fly well. I had considered building one like yours (including the CF bracing- which I probably couldn't do as well as you did) but got turned on to Twisted Hobbys planes (CY & MXS-C) and never looked back.

I'd love to get a Twisted Hobbys Puddle Star - seems like it can do it all !

I wasn't aware of that plane. It is remarkable alright. Pricey, though, by the time you get it set up.

Off topic, but the MXS-C is my all time favorite - and I've had a lot of planes.
