Thanks again guys, Those are both some good ideas to try, we'll see how it goes. Also just wondering if anyone knows where I can find some decals for this? I've looked and cant seem to find anything. Thanks

I used leather on my Tripe's cockpit. I sanded down the leather almost paper thin and made my own depron cord for the inner coaming.

Spectacular HUEY! Now if I can find some of those materials I'll be set. I think I can probably manage. Thanks for posting. Anyway, right now I have a cowl to deal with, it has a nice smooth black satin finish on it with a freakin finger print right on top Dumb....so I guess I'll be re-doing the finish on it again. Thanks again!

Thanks Rocket! Yeah I'm glad that's done! Now on to the Landing gear and push-pull rods.

How's it going? I've got one of these kits in the stash-- I'm hoping to see this one completed!

Bugging out

How about the Kettering Bug. The first "cruise missile" was developed in late 1918 as an unmanned aerial torpedo with a range of 75 miles. Guidance system was developed by Sperry.

Hey RCBoater. thanks for your interest and hopefully it is getting pretty close to being finished. I just haven't took the time to post lately but since you asked I figured I probably should. Anyway, I have started covering the model and working on the tail group hinges and control rods etc. This is my first conversion so I wasn't sure how I was going to do it but I think it has turned out ok. Now just need to finish covering and assemble! then rig it. Hopefully all the hard parts are over. I am not sure how to cover the lower fuselage where the bottom wing attaches though. The wing mounts flat to the fuse but the covering wants to round out around it if that makes sense? Maybe a fillet. Anyway, we will see.
Lnagal Thats a cool pic. I had no idea those even existed!

Branden, I am sorry about posting trivia in your thread. I meant it to go in another thread. How it got here I don't know.

In any case, your Pup is looking great.

Thanks guys! I hope it turns out ok.
No problem Larry, I don't mind at all because I enjoy all this stuff. Had no idea they tried such a thing like that. Spectacular.

Well Got quite a bit done over the weekend. The covering went on pretty well, I guess it could always be better but I'm happy with it. So far thankfully all is working great. The rudder and elev are hooked up and tested good. Decals from Callie Graphics. I think they look nice and went on well. Also started the finishing the wings and now have the wing tips done and waiting on another piece of Brown tissue from Brodak. I really hope it's the same color! Anyway now just have to finish the wings and install and rig them and put the leather trim on the cockpit still. Sounds real easy huh? Well thanks for the look.
