Set the spoilers up so that full aileron deflection drives the down side aileron even with the trailing edge, and the up side doesn’t bind

Hey Mo, at the moment I am running the 7.5 x 8. Flew 4mins plus landing time and put back 2550mAh. Plenty of lipo left.

Thanks. I have a nitro to electric conversion I am thinking of doing and trying to decide which motor prop combo will be best. This is the second thread where the hyperion motor that you are using has come up.

I would suggest looking at something a little different. I think a bigger prop is required as the cowl is quite fat. I am trying to figure out my next step, prop diameter around 9" or 10" this time. I'm trying my best to keep my Sundowner 4cell and around 100-120A but struggling to find something suitable.

Don't get me wrong, mine with it's curtrent setup flys well, great speed and vertical performance, but I love my speed and this setup doesn't give me the rush i was needing.

what do you think of putting a 55ax vs 46ax? I keep hearing that the 46 out rpms the 55. I have both engines but haven't done any taching.

I was struggling to get a rush also with my initial setup, but things have improved now. This is my setup;

E-flite Power 25 1250kv, 70amp ESC, 4S 2800mah 30C & 10x10 APC
Static numbers; 1040watts@77amps.
Motor is holding up well to date.
Have added seperate CC 10A BEC for a bit of insurance

Had another fly this evening still with the 7.5x8APC. Fastest pass 135.5mph. Its getting faster. Will try a couple of pylon props I have here and see how they go.

Tried a carbon 7.4x7.7 prop, was slower at 128.0mph.

Tried something a little different today. Changed out the Hyperion HS-3026-1600kv for a Scorpion HK-3026-1400kv with a clipped down 9x9 to 8.5x9 APC prop to get a bit more prop diameter, the thrust difference was very noticable, about half the distance to take off. Quite a bit faster at 145.4mph today. Makes me want to do a 6 cell setup even more

Yep, same packs. Not sure on amps, I'm guessing around 100-110A, 1400-1500Watts. I will put a meter on it tomorow and run it up. Motor runs cold, ESC and lipo's are just warm nothing strenuous

Looks like ecalc was a bit off on this one I put a meter on it this morning and ran it up static, it pulled 150A Thats one tough little motor, wierd how everything was only just warm after my flight. The load must drop off somewhat when flying, not sure how much. Possibly because i'm not flying WOT for the whole flight, just fast passes about 5 or so seconds with a slow turnaround. Anyways, I will give it a few more runs and see how it goes, was happy to leave it like this and focus on building some more dedicated go fast planes.
