Got both of mine today...looks like 3.17mm shaft. I was surprised to feel how strong the magnets are...these seem like real quality motors.

Took the Metoer and the Stinger up the field this morning.Virtually no wind,maybe 1-2mph. Flew 4 flights with the Meteor,one flight on 3350 4s Overlander,the rest on Tunigy 2200 4s nanos.
Great flights,all under hand launches with no problems at all.
Couple of flights with the Stinger as well. I used rc speedo for the first time and got 78mph on the meteor.Wondering what i will get on the 5s

100mph on stock system 5S..... give or take a bit, according to wind or descent etc. Should be 95mph worst case I would think.

Thanks Peter,looking forward to that. The one thing i did find today was the landing speed was really fast. Probably down to the fact there was nearly zero wind.

I have the 3000 one (40C) and it is ok in the Meteor - originally all stock, but later with a CS10 2300kv. (very similar end power result).

The 65C would be fine too, but go for larger capacity to get decent flight time. For any C, head for 3000mAH or more. Nano is 3300 for 65C
I have up to 4000mAH that I use.... but mainly Zippy Compact 5S 3300 35C and 3700 25C. Plus the 5S 3000mAH 40C's (2 of those).

Gonna glass my spare airframe, and go 6S with retracts. My Tacon/CS10 are up to it...

A question for PeterVrc or anyone using the metal trinion retracts.
For the mains I've kept the pin between retract & strut fairly in order to maintain a similar ride height to stock. In keeping it short, the retract closes at a slight angle due to the strut touching the retract preventing it closing properly. To get around this, I could fit longer pins but that would mean the wheels would recess into the thin part of the fuse and a much higher ride height. I also have some plastic trinion retracts which don't interfere when closed but are are a bit bigger and deeper.
