super gryphon wings

Ok

I have a original fuse of the Super gryphon, canopy, mold to make my flying bird and keep the fuse intact.. BUT i havenīt the wings of the Super G.

Maybe you have one in box or the plans, really i donīt need the plans, i need;

a.- the geometry of the wings,
b.-size of the ailerons
c.- tip size
d.-airfoil ( rg-14,15, etc )
e.-washout or
f.- diedral or flat upper side.

and the CG ( not essencial, i can calculate it c )

Thanks for any info

Gonzalo

Gonzalo, there are no co-ordinences on the SG airfoil shape, but I am developing them from my SG foam cores. Despite what others wrongly state, Bob developed his own airfoils purely for the performance he wanted. He did not use existing airfoil data. They were drawn by hand. Genius on his part! I can tell you it is a semi-symmetrical foil similar to Eppler. See pic.

A view of the SG root. 3/32" thick balsa skins are utilized.

Super Gryphon wing dimensions

Here is my Super Gryphon wing in which I plotted out the critical planform dimensions. I hope it answers your questions. I will post the actual airfoil shape once i get the CompuFoil files built.

The CG was measured 508mm aft of the nose. This is a little nose heavy for first flight safety.

Yes

YESSSSSSS...... all info is on my records.... The pic of the wings have the grades necessary to make my own. Only one diference, The instructions expose 66 inch of Wingspan, and your are 68. I supose a little modification on the your tip wings and the extra size. I use the picture of your wings ( reference ) and make my own with all your info wings.

Maybe you rezise the wings and have better results with this and ĻnewĻ tip wings, i apreciate your comments about it.

Thanks a lot.

Gonzalo.

good idea

Hi Eric

Thanks a lot for the info, i havenīt in mind a build thread of the Super Griphon, but if you want a build log of the super griphon in Rc Groups, you donīt see nothing about it, only little info of the bird.

The idea is good for me, i start in few days a new thread of the build. Itīs good for me and everyone.

Cheers

Gonzalo
