This last kite is the best one so far.. rolls, loops, slow flight, hovers, it does it all well

From Israel Amos Etam has been making various lightweight models along the lines of the Kolibri, but much smaller...
I would suggest a read through the build instruction for the Kolibri will clarify a lot of what's going on here..

My microkite finally got filmed
Flown outside, because the indoor sessions are difficult for my headcam..
this shows the power of the 1811 motor..
slow flight can be nice and steady, and the first part of the video is all on 1/3 power.. sometimes less...but its also a little rocket at full power and more than fast enough at 1/2-3/4 power..

the basic framework will fly on the umx sukoi radio gear setup, but its a lot less agile

On the kite..
I had a slight problem on my elevon horns.. my choice had been to bind them as a 'vertical pegs' only to the hinge tube ... Usually they would be bound to the elevon bracing rod as and be L shaped..
The horns binding on one side came unstuck from the tube, and the elevon could go up and down with the horn staying upright.. a drop of CA fixed it back.. but it could have been flown if I hadn't noticed it with likely poor results..
I have no idea why this side had been lashed separately from the elevons bracing rod, the other side had a figure 8 lashing which went round both the horn and the rod, and that side cant then get loose..
A couple of loops of the thread will now be added to fix the lashings together on the faulty side

yet another indoor session.. and this kite is one of my two favourite models.. a 24" Imp being the other..
This kite can be flown slow and gentle yet it is fully aerobatic, hover ,rolls , loops , inverted all good
The Imp is more of a hooligans model.. I have great fun bouncing it off all the roof beams , the walls and the floor.. it also will do the lot..
