Hey nrg I just received a 2gram brushless motor from hk with a possible 25% ultramicrolaris build in mind for my ar6400 brick.
I think we will be on the way down to melbourne before aus comes up next (not fun my playmate lives too far away and I don't have anyone here to fly with, you guys are having too much fun and getting good weather to go with it)

regards GWW

Polaris Spot Landing

Fun? Yeah

Last weekend, nrg2go and I went to our local pond for a few flights. nrg2go made a small landing target which he place in the water as a challenge. To capture the action, I place my old video camera with a fish-eye lens on a low tripod beside the water. I just let the video roll for an hour until the tape ran out. We weren’t racing to get landings as we often stopped to change batteries, change Polarii, talk to someone walking by, or attempt some aerobatics. What did surprise me was that in this one hour period we ‘approached the landing’ 188 times.

This video captures some of the more memorable landings. I hope you enjoy it.

Love it Aus, well done.

I had my first water experience this morning. All pretty good but I think I sanded too much off the bottom corners of the fuse and there is some water spray coming over the wings. think I may add a couple of chines to the side/edges to keep the spray down. Other than that. All good

Hey Wizzard, don’t know how big the sheets of that stuff are, but you can buy the 6 mm Depron for under $10 a sheet (1m x 350mm) .. don’t be tempted to get the grey (black) its crap … much too soft for building models with.

I get the white 6mm direct from Wangarra and get the full size sheets (1m x 700mm) for under $10 a sheet, but have to pick it up, don’t know if you have a place there you can get it? But if not get it on line: http://www.tradewarehouse.com.au/depron-foam.html

I pay cash and get this for around $180 ... http://www.tradewarehouse.com.au/dep...de-pack20.html

Good work boys, looks like you are practicing for aircraft carrier landings. Get the lilo out and spot land on that

The summer before last Damo and I played a similar game, after a storm, there was a small, well defined puddle in a cricket field. The only difference was we were landing directly towards ourselves, which probably made it easier.
