this is for goods i ordered on 25th june, banggood email "please wait we send in 48hrs ", was what i was told two days ago.

so i gave up, would have been a nice boat to convert to brushless, but "not so Banggood " failed on their part. Good luck everyone fingers crossed you dont need any spares your gonna be waiting a darn long time for them like myslef

I passed more than 40 orders in BG... usually "in stock" information are exacts.... Just bad luck. Whatever, you can find cheapest price on aliexpress ... but chinapost free shipping so it can be a lottery. But actually since 1-2 months, at least for rance, CP is worling much better ...

Hmm seems like HobbyKing is selling these now, I'm very tempted in getting one, even with the shipping it's cheaper than the toy boats they sell at TRU here.

Yes, saw that today. It's $26 plus shipping. $26? I think I paid almost $50. Of course that was shipped, but $26? WOW! Buy one now!!!!

converted the double horse 7009 to 6560kv 3s bl, better rudder, servo, esc, rx the works - easy conversion bullet but sucked bc wasnt self-righting - this boat will eventually get the same treatment but with sr awesome!

edit: had to review pages of hk orders to see which motor I actually bought have in boat - waterjacket

Hmm is a 2040 motor gonna fit? I happen to have one lying around, and it's relatively low in KV(4000) compared to the 2030 in stock on HK which is 5800KV.

Anyway what size is the stock servo? I have a spare 9g, so if it fits, all the better.

Tried many diff BL motors with this hull (same innards as 7009) this motor IS THE PERFECT 2S/3S MOTOR for over a year with 30 amp esc 3s 850 lipo

*Easy conversion, you will need to use your own radio gear, servo, esc...
*Same motor mount fit this motor locktight everything, use balloons water seal
*Waterjacket when full 3s runs a must

EDIT: YES other motors kv too low - trust me guys if you wanna convert this monster brushless this is the motor no doubt!!!
i experiemented with dozens of others in water testing...
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...560kv_7T_.html

NOTE_ also extended the rudder, used the Warrior/Searider rudder which is bigger/longer. Allows highspeed stability and handling in turns, I might do this to my 7007 but the rudder looks much improved over the 7009.

overall weight 3s lipo is only addition to weight, should come out close with gear vs. stock

my only concern with this BL conversion is that little added weight might mess with self righting... but with 3s850 and lite electronics should be negligible

Hi there,

Greeting ! Kevin here from Malaysia. I have this boat for a month an I didn't know such forum dedicated toward this exist !

Here the deal :
I brought this boat for RM90 ($28) but I paid RM100 for it as I swap out the original battery and upgraded a 1100mah 25C-50C Lipo on the shop it self.

Thing I Mod Since Day One :
1) UHU Glue The Top N Bottom Hull & Screw (It keep the water out !)
2) Solder The Bypass Near The Connector Outside The Reciever Box
3) Added A LVD Buzzer (It not save to jump into river/pond nowday !)
4) Added A Small Turning Fin To Prevent Turn Spinout (Very stable now)
- I decided to add this as I notice all mini and micro do spinout on turn
5) Cut The Extra Long Servo Arm Which I Think Obviously Blocking
6) Slot In a Washer Between The Tubing N Prop
- As The Prop Turn, It Will Push Toward The Hull N Act As A Glide Ring
- Tighten The Prop Without Much Freeplay/Gap Within The Shaft Should Min Water Entry. Make Sure The Prop Are Free To Turn N Not Stuck Or Jam
- Regrease With Sticky Grease (Marine Preferable)

Upgrade !? :
1) Well NQD Mini Tracer Default With 9.6v NiMH (Perhaps A Life 3S Do Work)
2) Brushless !? I Prefer Runtime For This Boat As It Have Other Purpose
- To Be Honest This Is My Rescue Boat For Towing My Strand Or Flip Large Fiberglass Boat
- I don't see the point of upgrade as I see it limited size and space. A XTREME ESKY 380 (370 or 24mm can) should drop in nicely.

Comment / Guide :
- My Boat Will Turn Slightly Toward One Side. I Best Guess It The Servo Will Neutral Slighly Off Left Or Right Depend Where U Last Turn Maybe Due To The Push Rod Boot !
- If You Lazy To Grease, At Lease Drop Some Bushing Oil (They Are Stickier Than The Bearing Oil) As The Shalf Spin So Does The Grease N Oil Came Out.
- For Longer Life Motor ! Hey Guy Don't You Break In The BRUSH Motor ! They Not Brushless ! Yes I'm OLD SCHOOL Dated Back 10+ Year Ago !
- Just Youtube Or Google " Break In Brush Motor " It Help !
- To My Surprice ! The Weight Distribution Are Balance This Way Without The Bumper Even On Choppy N Windy Lake. My Friend Original Or With 800mah Seem Slightly Slower With Much Lighter In Weight N It Bounce Up N Down Through The Ride With The Bumper On !

Sorry it must be pain in the ass to read all those !
