Dan Kane sent me a pogo kit and some tip extenders to make the Pogo legal for minimum wing area per NMPRA rules.

I Raced this plane at the last Whittier , Ca race starting out with the tips. about the third heat I botched the landing and tore one of the tips off. I decided to take them both off and see if i noticed the difference.

My conclusion is that the plane is faster with out the extended tips. With the tips I was having a hard time staying with the leaders. With out the tips , I was much more competitive and I think won one of the last 2 heats and came in 2nd in the other one.

The Pogo is not the fastest plane out there and with the tips it is not competitive with the Shoe String and Proud Bird or the Miss Dara in my opinion. I think by forcing pilots to add the tips we are throwing away a good Arf for this class. It is definitely NOT faster and has no advantage with the stock wing , so why make it obsolete !!!
Just my opinion, We should grand father it in and make it legal.
