New housing batch has been finished and is being packed right now, will start shipping out in the next day or so. Plenty of 70mm, 90mm, and I adjusted the design on the 64mm housing, now 65mm ID with straight inlet and some small changes to make it easier to install, the outside diameter is close to most plastic 64mm fans we just gain a mm in rotor size.

I'm not looking for any extreme high speed performance , but rather power my f-14 good and easy with 2kg thrust,

mine is the old epf/airpower f-14, 70mm non-swing wing...

i;m looking to try and get 1.2kg++ thrust on the bench each before i mount the on... my plan is going to weigh about 1.8-2kg

also, are the hobbyking 70mm 10blade edf changesun orginals? or imitations?

originals...will sound really nice, have the SM f14...sound like small turbine

just to ask, will the changesun run fine on my current freewing 70mm 3000kv?

or am i looking at a potential over heat issue?

FWIW, I found this paper while doing some research on duct length: http://southamptonmac.org.uk/doc/EDFpart1.pdf.
It may be of some interest to those using these EDF's. It is quite technical (read brain-bending), fairly old (before brushless and LiPo!) but very relevant and has some interesting calculations, advice and conclusions.

The L2855-2300 works great on 4s, the thrust is ~1.2Kg, the amps run ~40amps and the battery is able to hold voltage quite well so rpms are fairly stable.

The fan is a bit high for most 3000kv motors and there can be overheat problems from the high amp draw (~ +-90amps IIRC).
After looking at your picture I see the motor weight is 85 grams and it will reside in the motor tube so there will be less airflow over it to remove heat. If it had the offset It might last a little while but I think you would still damage that motor in this fan.
