A shame it does not come as 70mm fan.

They usually make several sizes of popular jets so we may see a 70 or 90 sometime next year.

The Freewing 3500kv 64mm 4s system is a great performer, I have it in my Freewing F15 and it has great speed with a very nice vertical climb. This new F22 is saying that it only has a 40amp esc, which seems a tad low to me.......but all in all, I am looking forward to a review on this one.

JGuilty does the Freewing F-15 hand launch easily? What flight times do you get out of it?

Word on the street from one of the distributors, is that several new and updated EDF's are on their way from FMS and Freewing. Should be an interesting time.

A pretty stupid video of this jet (the same shots over and over again):

Any idea about the details of the new releases?

Great Goose, yes, my Freewing F15 (with 4s system 3500kv) hand launches extremely easily. I fly it on 4s 2200 40c packs and get 4.5-5 min with throttle management....its the longest flight times out of any of my EDF models, I love it. Here's a short clip of me hand launching it.

Thanks for the Clip I am looking for an easy to hand launch and smooth flying EDF. The Freewing F-15 looks temping because I have 4s 2200 batteries whereas the F-22 states 1600mah which seem small and I will have to buy some.

FMS F4 Phantom.

Great power, uses 4s 2200mah. It's been a great 1st EDF for me to get my feet wet. But like I mentioned there are going to be some upgraded and new EDF's coming out very soon (FMS & Freewing), but you may not be able to wait

Currently I am flying (just) the Lx F-22 single fan but it is problematic to hand launch so I always have to fly with another person which is a hasle. I will wait to see what the new products are. But I will keep the F-4 in mind, I like that it is 70mm.

I have the single 70mm LX F-22, too, and I have no problems with handlaunching.

I replaced the stock fan/ motor with an extreme alloy 10CS combo and suspect the way I have mounted it or there is something a miss with the ducting. Which make hand launches very hit and miss some are almost prefect others it only just misses hitting the ground by a few centimetres.
