Looking for just that, a cheap 3D foamie that can fly with a 3S 1800 battery, not the usual smaller ones.

Good looking planes but pricey for foam.

Looking for a beater to lear more 3D on and smallest batteries I have are 3S 1800.

These are EPP foam planes. Can withstand more crashes than 20 normal foam planes. That is where the value lies, more time flying, less time repairing and building. They are well worth it when you see how fast your skills advance once you are no longer afraid of crashing.

Nice looking planes but the site says a 3S 1000 for them. 1800 seems like it may be too much.

Also, $65 + $10 shipping for unpainted foam is outrageous.

Thanks all. I'll watch the for sale area and see if anything comes up or pick up a Mountain Models Panic which I just saw last night.

An 1800 pack is too heavy for these planes, I have flown mine with one and it is too heavy. These are my favorite planes, are very durable, and are probably the best buy on the market, when you factor in the durability, the quality of the kit, the good customer service, and the fact they are the best flying airplanes I have flown, they are the best bang for the buck. That being said, 1000 Mah packs work best. Remember these have a true airfoil wing that is very tough, and I have flown mine in 25-30 MPH winds with no problem.

I was more or less addressing your comment on the price of these planes being outrageous, as opposed to the size of the pack you want to use. You didn't state if you already have the 1800 packs, so if you were still considering what you were looking for, these would be a good consideration. 1000 Mah packs are quite a bit cheaper and these planes are great 3D planes, and can handle some serious abuse, and are good in the wind. If you already have 1800 packs, a good plane to consider is the Kalteisen EPP Extra 260, my friend has one and it is a most excellent plane. It is a little more expensive, but it is a full fuse model. It is also quite a bit heavier, so flies more like a balsa. He loves it. Didn't mean to come off as a dumba$$, just offering some alternative consideration. Good luck, there is a lot of good stuff out there, hard to decide some times so it dosn't hurt to consider all information.

Check out the Skywing Planes (Monster/Yak/Sbach) mt_100. Just maidened my Skywing Yak 54 today, and it flew amazing! I'm running a 2200mAh but I have no doubt your 1800mAh would work just fine.

I am interested in what you decide to get since I have 6 new 1800 packs that I bought for my 3DHS 41" Edge, this plane won't be hear till the end of July, so I might be looking for something to use these in till then. If you get something that works well please report on it and how it performs.

Honestly, I think I am going to pick up a Mountain Models Panic 3D. Cheap, quick build, durable, and should work well for me.

I find the prices companies want for foam to be ridiculous, purely outrageous. They may fly great, and be durable, but it is still just foam.
