Few questions for canadians only

Questions for canadians only:

Did anybody in Canada got/saw a USB programmer for the AS3X ultra-micro receivers in a canadian hobby shop yet? Pre-ordered mine and still no news from my hobby shop, so I just wonder if it's something all around Canada, or just my LHS.

Did any of you order from WholesaleTrains in the U.S.? If so, are you satisfied, or not? Did you pre-order airplanes from them and if so how fast did you get them? Do you have to pay duty (always? sometime? never?)

My LHS seems to get things that are backordered or new about 2 weeks later than the US release. Could be a customs thing.
I have everything mailed that I buy from outside of Canada and pay a $5.00 customs charge and the GST on the declared value. I have never been charged anything when the declared value is less than $60.00 . Any time Fedex or UPS gets involved it gets real expensive though.

Well, I called my LHS again yesterday... They said they would order another USB programmer for me. Then, about 15 minutes later, I got a call from them: "sorry, it's here. We just found it. Our fault, we never called you, and it got sidetracked...."

So, my USB programmer is here, just have to go pick it up. And it may have been there for quite a long time!!! I think they didn't want to assign a part number for it (in their own database) even if it's a standard HH/Spektrum part. Oh well.

So now, only one question left:

Any canadians ordered something from Wholesale Train (in the US). Just want to know your overall experience...

Expensive shipping

I emailed a few times and figured it wasn't worth it

Plus

I think, not sure, but they may only use UPS

And all Canadians in this hobby know how much additional ups related fees can suck!
