Build Log
Airbus A320 foamy

Hi,

I'm Jan from Belgium, 22, student professional pilot and hooked on building and flying RC planes. I love the look of airliners so I started building my first one in december 2010. A DC-9-21 was born on march 21 2011 and died 30min later.
So, time for a new project!

Keeping it Belgian

I'm using these plans http://www.aerosquare.com/content/view/29/1/lang,en/ but I'm going to build her the "Demondriver way"
Dimensions are a little bit bigger becouse I print them out with Posterzia wich resulted in a smaller scale.

setup:
2x HK2836 EDF outrunner 3500KV with 2 x 64mm ducted fan units
2x HobbyKing 40A blueSeries ESC
4x HobbyKing 928BB 9g servo on aileron, rudder and nose wheel steering
1x HobbyKing 939MG 9g servo on elevator
Limifly lighting system
fixed spring landing gear

Regards

Have a look in this thread for some inspiration. It's over 5 years old, so not everyone might know it's here...

The build is looking good!

That got me thinking about the wing box. Not sure yet but I'm thinking of not doing it the DD way. The wings will end up not being at correct angles of incidence or sweep

Bongose I'm intersted in how you build your A320's wingbox, I hope it's an easier way then I do it.
