Stock Spitfire

I am building my spit and have painted the bottom grey and painted brown camo on the top. I have also added retracts. Will I be able to fly it with the stock, un-retimed 300? Or should I rip the motor out and get a 350 in there?

Should fly just fine on the stock 300, here's mine.

8 cell AAA 600 & 720 pack NiMh pack, total flying weight is 16.7 Oz.

I ve got the balance point at 55mm from the LE, 60 was just way too touchy for me. The maiden flight was a real Trip!! , Keep elevator throws to an absolute Minimum!

I also switched props, from the 10X8 2 blade to a 9X7 three blade. Draws a little less and the performance is great. Using an ICS-300 Sc w/heatsink, the stock motor and gerbox(Eps-300C), & Pico radio gear.

Piece of cake....

Thorine, you should be fine with Stock Motor.

Eplane, do you have to cut the spinner to fit the three blader on?

No cutting necessary, GWS makes a spinner for the 3-blade.

Stock # GWSSPN003X3

it is slightly smaller in diameter than the stock one for the 10X8, But looks just fine on the nose of the Spit.
