Definitely Grumman-inspired. No resemblance to Canadair.

The S-2 Tracker? No way. There's no hull step on it, it's not a float plane, the LG is in the wrong place and most importantly it's the wrong colour. Much more Canadairish

Yeah I was just trying to get the similarity between a Grumman plane and the Disney one. I'm not familiar with Grumman models in particular.

Maybe the G-73 Mallard? I had a look at the various amphibious planes Grumman make and while the nose is similar that's so for many other makes. The nacelles are far more similar to the Canadair than any Grumman which all seem to be forward protruding quite a bit.

Sorry for going on about it. I'm curious. It's an educational experience
