Not sure what that on/off switch is...
I like the gimbal description and hope they allow retrofit back to Taranis
I sure hope FrSky OS is really OpenTX

Judging by the firmware shipped with the Taranis+, it will be FrSky's adaptation of the latest OpenTx. They may send pre-prod examples to the OpenTx devs to get the ball rolling (as they did with the A, B and +).

There are touches of Multiplex and Jeti in those designs. Deliberate or just an accident of convergent evolution?

People are frequently mentioning now replacing Futaba, JR, etc (though most often Spektrum) with a Taranis. Often come out money ahead after selling off used receivers, etc.

Sorry, but OP figures are computer generated.
If they don't have something real to show on their own site, then this means still months ahead...
The "tray Taranis" is someone other guy masterpiece work, not Frsky, as I did mine using an older JR case.

Isn't one (big) display enough for everything ?
Or, are you asking about the dashboard, FLD-02 replacement? Lost in fog

Note that on the main Taranis thread, Wayne from Aloft Hobbies says he will have the real thing at the upcoming Chicago show. We will shortly be seeing pictures.

I like the hybrid neck strap/power button - it avoids the issues Hitec have had with users switching off their Auroras in flight. I am interested to see how big it is though;as with previous leaks, it's impossible to really know whether this is a tray, handheld or a hybrid of the two without a hand in shot! My guess is that it can be used by a thumb flier, but will probably be too big and heavy to use without a neckstrap for any length of time. Still, overall I like it!

Ps - Thought the 9 axis sensor was a typo, but on looking it up it is a combination 3 axis gyro, 3 axis accelerometer and 3 axis magnetometer. Not sure what we will use all that for, but it sure sounds interesting!
