Go with a "400 class" brushless around 900kv
This should be perfect for you. Use a GWS 9X5 prop and you will be very happy. I would recommend 1000mah lipo packs to keep things light. If you want a little better flight time, go with the 1300mah. (use 3 cell packs with at least 20C rating) Quoted from HeadsupRC's webiste..... GWS EP9050: 25 ounces of thrust at 10 amps. Good choice for medium speed models. It will be scale flying at around 2/3 throttle and probably unlimited vertical performance at full throttle... without being "stupid fast"
