Ok, yes. Phil Liggett, absolutely. Really enjoy the commentating, because yes, watching planes go in circles is interesting for a bit, but with your stuff, we watch the whole thing without skipping forward even if it's 48 minutes long.

Not tempted to put a plane of your own in the air?

Haha, thanks very much David, my video narration is now complete as I've cajoled someone into comparing me with Phil Liggett! Certainly hearing a lot of him right now. My severely disabled daughter, who's 26 yrs old but can't talk etc, loves Phil Liggett's voice. Stick the TDF on the TV and she's engaged, smiling and captivated!

No, not really tempted to fly myself again. Maybe just a small fleeting thought, but mostly I'm glad not to be doing the building, or crashing stuff I love and feeling bad about it, and having huge amounts of work to do. Funny how we can change. But I love the phenomenon of DS. It's incredible.

Well Andrew, the DS world is better for having you around.

A modern anthropologist chronicalling on film the strange customs and lifestyle of a cultural subgroup isolated from society and united unto itself by strange passions that are unknown or misunderstood by larger society?

That's it! Huell Howser is spot-on too.

I've stopped telling people that I go to the mountains to fly toy planes. I just say I'm going hiking or fishing. Too much trouble to explain, followed by disbelief anyway.

I am with you Dom.

"I drive for hours and then hike through treacherous terrain in terrible heat and hurricane force wind so that I can throw an expensive toy off a cliff and maneuver it to speeds in the hundreds of miles per hour by exploiting a technique previously only known to birds"

vs

"I went hiking for a few hours"

hahaha
That happens to me as well. Sundays family lunch people ask about me and my wife says: " hes visiting his parents" or "in a car rally".
Ds is to complex to be explained in a phrase.

A nice day at Parker yesterday: moderate and smooth lift in the afternoon and cool temps around 80 degrees.

It is easier to explain general relativity than DS!
