Yes, a big thanks to Tarot for continuing to improve this gyro. Definitely one of the top Chinese companies, in my opinion.

I loaded it last week from the Tarot site when i got the units . I went on a program locator mode and downloaded all that i could find for this unit . I didn't know it was a new version
. This is what i was talking about I think when i couldn't find a program that would open it . It took a while to finally find it on windows drivers out there . No idea how i did it either

FyreSG was given a special version, a few days ago, to fix his servo kick at power up issue. With permission from Tarot he gave me the same version to try, to see if it fixed my servo issue, and it did. Now it would appear that they have released the version without the servo fix.

hits the fan, we're stuck with the damage. Or maybe I'm just over thinking all of this early leak of information.

No, Tarot did FyreSG a big favor by giving him a version that would fix his servo issue. They said he was the first they knew of with that issue. I'm sure it will end up in a later release. It does not cause any risk in flight.
I hope Tarot is following this thread. That's what the better companies do to perfect their products. |

flight updates on firmware v4
I went to the field and flew 3 packs on the newly updated CX-ZYX v4 on my CopterX 450 Black Angel.
Good news: - for me, the cyclic feel is significantly improved. It is more responsive, more connected (less robotic). The gyro no longer feels like it resists inputs around center - I managed to fly some of the best piroflips I've ever done on the 450 to date. It feels like they added a feed forward gain (perhaps that's what the new advanced parameter is). - slow piros are definitely more stable than 3.5. However, as beenflying was writing, piro comp seems to fade on fast piros after 4-5 full revs and significant cyclic inputs are required to regain a flat attitude. Bad news: - the pitch-up in FFF is still present. It's is a lot less abrupt and violent than 3.5, but still does it. - Multiple barrel rolls in FFF still result in a pronounced nose-up tendency - Looks like they made some changes to the gain algorithms, because I kept getting minor head wobble when the disk was unloaded, and subtle tail wag in FFF. Slight gain reductions may be required. All in all, I really dig the new and improved cyclic feel. Next up, I'm going to upgrade the ZYX on my Protos, and that will be a real test of what v4 can do.
