That is a straight up AWESOME idea! Maybe you guys could get some AMA coverage and get it in Model Aviation magazine. How great would it be for this idea to spread around the world?!

Hi there, was just wondering if there is something wrong with the files you uploaded for the plans ? when I try and open them using my Corel Draw it tells me that the files are corrupted.... I am really looking forward to building one of these. if you could send me them in another format that would be great, thank you....

The only files I see here are in .pdf format, not .cdr
If you are speaking of those files Otto posted on page 1.
I don't know if you can import pdf to Corel.

Yeah those are the ones I am asking about, I import PDF files all the time into Corel, once in a blue moon I have a issue with one or two but not in a long time.

Well I have been working on a FlyHulk in Corel Draw X5, would those files help you? I started by copying Otto's FlyGal as a pattern, because it had the biggest chest. I like the big chest because it lands better. The other part that I like is unfortunately lost in the conversion to FlyHulk, but I will still put park flyer wheels there.

They are not complete, because I am waiting for an interface for my plotter before I finalize the drawings. If I can get it running, I won't have to tile it. Actually I have two plotters, hope I can get one running...

The Guillermo and Jack in the Box Flyguys

I designed a portly suited man and a normal suited man for some fun. Guillermo has his own thread and the normal suited man is just a modification of Guillermo. Both fly very well and Jack has answered some questions about head size in design.

Here is the Guillermo thread:

Here is a video of Jack. For those in the East, Jack in the Box is a fast food chain with fun commercials featuring Jack.

Otto,

That Jack-In-The-Box is cool, and he lands a little less awkward than FlyGuy...
The kids will love that one, boy I see a lot of iconic designs, Super Mario, Donald Duck, Goofy,
Dumbo (with feather), Casper, Politicians-too many to list.

Have you made changes in producing Gullermo that I should employ for advantages in flying as I modify FlyGal to be FlyHulk?
I picked FlyGal to mod, as you said it flew better, should I just stick with that?, as I am pretty far along...

I have found that the wider you set the sides are and the more surface area down around the calfs makes for good handling and stability. Also, the longer top plate allows the CG to move aft.l

Well that is what the FlyHulk does, but it adds wider arms too. I will see if I can make a jpg out of it, but it is not finished yet.
I color coded the parts, just to help me accomplish an assembly on paper,l and there is a chart there that says what color is what part. It includes colors I assigned to FlyGirl, which I didn't include in this jpg, so don't think you are missing something.

I still have to do a lot of graphics, all I got so far is the arm...

Thank you Otto, you are a source of encouragement for many of us...
I will post the graphics as I get them done, I have one arm, but I need so much more.

I am assuming that you print the graphics on paper, then apply (spray glue 3M 77?) to the foam, right?
