My must-have: The Kai Deng K60

KaiDeng K60

This new Kai Deng mini looks like the king . The plastic has a look of quality, it's going to have power, and it has good LEDs.
Good size battery too.
300 meters range? Hard to believe.

Will it wipe out the competition? In looks it does already.
EDIT:
I'm changing the specs to reflect what I believe they should be.
Going to call it 3.7V battery unless confirmed as 7.4V.
Going to say this might be the no-camera version, possibly called the K40, which has no LCD screen on the radio
Measurement should be in cm., not mm.
Range should be 100 meters, not 300.
The model with camera is K60, not K600

Charging time: About 80mins
Flying time: About 8mins
Flying distance: About 100m
X60 size: 37 x 37 x 9cm.
Motor: Coreless motor
X60 battery: 3.7V 700mAh
Transmitter battery: 4 x AA dry battery (not included)

Interesting that the motors are on the outside of the props. Wouldn't that be detrimental to its handling without any real purpose? Also it may be adding unnecessary weight and reducing the durability of the arms.

Yes, the motors on the outside looks like another innovation unique to this copter. It's a 7.4 V quad ( EDIT: probably 3.7V ), so even if there is a bit of extra plastic involved, shouldn't be a problem. Presumably it's a benefit. That remains to be seen.
I'm liking this one. Haven't purchased it yet, though.

Hay Fish!, hows it hanging?.

That looks a great quad!, but don't think its 7.4v. Not being clever, but 3 giveaways.

1. the stated supplied battery,

2. the stated charging method (USB).

3. the mini losi plug.

But who cares!?, its a nice looking quad as mentioned.

Hi Blade Runner,
I think you're right.

There is also a photo of the battery charging up, sitting on a computer - and it looks like 3.7V

Yea, but who really cares about 7.4v. The 3.7v 700Mah batt should last a while anyway. Am sorely tempted to pull the trigger. The white one looks good as well. Maybe better for night flying.

Thanks for showing us anyway Fish.

The battery bay looks deep. Yeah, I'm tempted too, but first gotta check out the couple of discrepancies. Not sure if this is the camera version, or not. Gimbal and camera for that price?

Could not resist. It was like a hot splinter in my mind. Went for the slow boat, faster shipping near half the price of the damned thing plus no doubt the dirty Danish customs will have their greedy hands out.

Going to be long 3-4 weeks !

Is this going to be suitable as a first quadcopter.I have the little indoor ones but would like something to fly outside when it is calm.Had my eye on a Syma X5 but I like this one more and at 35-00 at Banggood +free shipping it seems like a good deal.
No mention of spares for this yet but I am sure they will be available soon.

John

Going to ask for corrections and clarifications and to see if they're in stock yet.

anyone else bit the bullet ?

I note an ali express seller quoting 100 metre range and a 650mAh batt. Ali express sellers price of $49 is without camera, with camera $62. Mine coming from BG for around $49 and does say package includes camera. Time will tell.

The "with camera" statement is contradicted by the list of package contents, so that needs clarification.

On the BG add if you look below where it says K40 FUNCTION FUNCTIONS very small print says (needed to buy the camera components) Scroll down to the bottom of page and we have

Package Include :
1 x Aircraft With Camera
1 x LCD Controller
1 x Screwdriver
4 x Protection Cover
4 x Blade
1 x 2G SD card
1 x Card reader
1 x USB Charger
1 x Manual

my 808 will go on when I use a cam so will be no tears if its without (bound to be naff anyway) See no need for such confusion though

. Look forward to seeing what you dig up
