It will need something like an E-flite Power 60 to pull it.

I plan on using a Saito 100 for power. I was also interested in the Typhoon.

I noticed this model a few weeks ago and keep thinking about it... I have always like the Ryan STA but have never owned one. Looks nice and I have had good experiences with products from Tower. I see that it's out of stock and the prices is up again. I'll be watching the thread and availability (Tower's site currently indicates April availability). Hopefully someone that received one could post some pictures and what they think of the model?

So I got my Ryan STA today. Unfortunately the wings are damaged. It was packed very well, the box had no damage to it. It was also double boxed. It must have happened during packaging. The wings have a tab on the fuse side. You screw down the tab to hold the wing on plane. Both tabs were broken, one was flopping around inside the wing. Will post some pics. Other then that It was looking beautiful. Everything was wrapped a packaged well. I just don't know how those tabs got broken. I suspect there will be more like this. I called Tower Hobbies, they were great. But that didn't get me another plane. Sold out until the end of April. Just my luck... I also have photos of the instruction manual if anyone wants.

LFD - Did you get the needed replacement parts? What about assembly? Have you started?

Anyone else start with assembly? This looks like a great plane but I'm on the fence with having to explain another airplane to the household finance manager...

No, I did not get parts. Tower had no spare parts so I had to return the whole plane and they did not have any new ones in stock. They lost a sale because I went and bought a Hangar 9 Valiant.
