In other news, BH is releasing a revamped version of the A-10 soon (announced on Facebook.) Let's hope the MiG, F-22, and the rest follow close behind.

It seems this plane will grounded until it hatches and learns to fly!

Maybe you could give the baby birds a ride. I bet they wouldn't mind. Heck, they might get the idea that flying in RC planes is better than flying themselves everywhere.
Would that be considered "evolution?"

Restarting this project after the longest while by applying several coats of WBPU on the wings, tails and fuselage.

That is great news! Need another Mig 29 in the skies. Looks like with all the nice Freewing jets this one is left behind but with the proper mods she is awesome!

Well, I'm slowly getting used to the jet. Got in my fourth flight on Sunday. No video though since I didn't have a camera man or a hat cam.
I found it is less wary of slow flight than I am while flying. I got up and tested its slow flying characteristics and it was rock solid. The only thing that I noticed and did not notice before is when I put my flaps down the wing flexes up. Note to self: If I ever build another MiG, I'll do it right with CF spars in the wing and fuse, solid retracts, solid full flying stabs, and a good power system.

All is calm before the storm, so I decided to go flying this morning. I put the MiG up and a minute into the flight the rain comes dumping down. Landed it 30 seconds later. During the flight before the rain started pouring the motors were skipping and missing beats at a constant throttle setting of around 65% power.
Now, is it the ESC's timing, are they failing and about to blow, or are the batteries sagging, or something else?
Here is the before picture and the after:

And ESCs. But the issue happened before the rain fell. But I will confess, the rain made the issue worse. I hope I didn't fry anything. At least I have a whole spare electronics set to build another MiG (but I want to build a Su-35...)

Not sure how both ESCs can have their programming change so IMO its moisture related, These outrunner motors have the coils exposed and all it takes is a small amount of moisture to short things out.
