I understand adodad's reluctance to change radio brands. With 2.4 protocalls it's a $$$$ question...more than just the transmitter, unlike in the 72 MHz days.

Paul Naton made this comment in one of his videos I recently purchased and am following for a build...

It harkens back 10 years ago when a club sage asked me why I was putting cheap servos in my new model.

To me anyway, it makes no sense to put up with a radio that doesn't do what you need it to do, most guys I fly with have $5K to $10K invested in airframes.

I've made the move more than once. Did it cost me a few $$? Sure, but I've always been able to recoup a good bit of that by selling off the system I'm moving away from. It's an amazing time in the hobby with all the new systems coming on line, don't settle for anything but the best....
