Just to show what I've been doing this days, we're building some blanks, diferent layups and colours, getting ready for strong and light winds.... Still Im not tottaly happy with some small finishing details , I definitely will work some plugs and make new molds for this toy but for now lets build some more and check how it goes on DS

Just to keep update, today I did the first test flight with thw Blank, no DS, just frontside lift with light wind 20km/h, I had to land soon cause I was in a paraglider spot and guys start to fly
Well, what can I say? It flew very nice for a planks first flight, duo all CGs issues and command throws envolved I was impressed how straight it start to flight when I throw it from my hands, it felt light in the air and that one is my heavy layup with AUW 640g flying in light wind
Hope next flight comes with a DS speed read and a video

Andre

Real mainden flight

allright, now I got some wind to test it.
Yesterday we got some good condition to test this small toy, wind was blowing around 15-20mph very smooth with some thermals making it drops to 8-10mph, that was enaugh to fly my heavy blank (auw 675g) on slope and DS
At start it felt nose heavy and I trimmed it to have it flying straight, Ill remove a little bit like 2g from the leads and see how it goes, I know all the changes now has to be really really fine tunning since this things has critical CG issues.
The plane really like to run, it simple dont stops, fly very stable with that weight, it simple ignore any small turbulence it may go through duo to its weight and penetration skills.
DS was a little hard to keep a good line cause my low ratings was still too high, it was a real struggle, but when I did the plane acelerates nice and fast
Did 2 flights and 2 backside landings, first tried to land on the crab style, coming crosswing, downstairs from slope, it always came like a rocket..... then I decide to go with backside landing and I did it, not the preatty but it came in one piece and no scratches

here are some action to ilustrale all this blablabla....

Blank 40 maiden flight and DS (2 min 35 sec)

Congratulations! Always nice to see a long term project out there flying! Sometimes it seems like they will never get to that point. Very happy you kept pushing on the project, now you get to enjoy it the fruits of your labor!
