Question
Mixing epoxy brands.

I've been using Devcon ,mostly for tow spars.Needed more but lhs only had Zpoxy.
Normally I'd stand the nearly empty bottles to drain into the new ones.Am I safe doing this?

Different brands will likely have different chemical composition and I would not reccommend it.

Even mixing old and new resin may cause an issue with contamination as the old resin has aged

Stuart,
In a word 'no'. Or in a much longer phrase; 'please please please DON'T DO IT!' A/E has it right.
Hope you're well.

Thanks guys.I thought I'd read it was a no no,but being a tightd old sod I thought I'd check.
I'm ok Rich, thanks for asking.I seem to get these bursts of build fever now and then, before fading back to my normal lethargic state.
How's yourself, any doings in the shed?

The Z-poxy "finishing resin" would perform better for tow spars than the Devcon.
