Here is this morning's maiden flight of my Electrifly Electrostick, sold by Great Planes at my club's field (PVMAC at the old Norton AFB) here in Southern California. This is a 52" wingspan balsa wood model flown stock. The battery is a 3S 3200mah. After the maiden it looks like I should be able to get 7-8 minutes of flying time on this battery. Most of my flying is done at half to 2/3 throttle. The SAFE Rx performs well in this plane. All control surface directions were in the correct direction out of the box--no servo mods were necessary. A smooth flying, easy landing plane. its only drawback is a terrible tail wheel setup which makes it hard to turn on the ground--I'll be doing some mods to improve that. Video Is at 1080p so be sure to adjust your youtube resolution.

The tail wheel setup is less than ideal, I've fought with it for three years. It will help if you put heat-shrink over the plastic piece on the rudder to keep the control wire in place. Also you can improve it by installing an upgraded assembly, Tower Hobby part # GPMA2878. Will require some adjustments to the control wire.

Good Luck

Sunday evening flight

My Stik is quickly becoming my favorite plane since I've straightened out the issues the factory couldn't be bothered to address. I picked up a second RxR for $150 that has only one flight on it. I'll incidence the wing before I fly after my experience with the fist one.

I love the low-speed capability, even low inverted flyby's are easy and fun. This has to be one of the easiest planes I've landed. and it definitely needs to flown on a 4-cell to unlock it's true performance.

Here's a short video Junkboy999 shot yesterday.

Got mine. The Horiz Stab looked like an after thought with the covering and the Tailwheel was simply a Rube-Goldberg. Very finicky to assemble and even worse to get the litlle unneccessary steering wires in the holes provided. A simple Do-Bro Tailwheel bracket would have been much more simple. I've never seen a Horiz Stab/Vert Stab Over-engineered this bad. After all, the stick is not going to be racing around a car track........Disappointed.
