Help!
Old Tamiya Stadium Blitzer help needed

Hi,
I have an old Stadium Blitzer that has some issues with the electronics - they don't work anymore. They are the original electronics from the early 90's (transmitter, mechanical speed control, receiver, etc.) I'd like to get a new transmitter/receiver and speed control for it but am not sure what to get. The motor still runs strong and I have plenty of the old style batteries that I'd prefer to continue using. This would be used for playing around in the driveway/street not for competition. Any guidance on what I need to do to get this thing running again would be appreciated. Thank you in advance!

If you are on a tight budget, and want to keep the motor, since it's running just fine, as I understand, I would suggest the GT-2 transmitter from Hobby King, and the 45A brushed ESC from the same source.

Transmitter: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...2Ch_Tx_Rx.html

ESC: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...d_Car_ESC.html

There are other options, but it's hard to beat this in value for money. For a few dollars more you can get the GT-3, which has a display and more setup options. Or, if money is no issue, get a Futaba, Sanwa or Spektrum transmitter.

Another option is to look for a used Traxxas XL-5 ESC. Lots of people pulled them out when they upgraded to brushless and can be had cheap.
