Playboy 2002 - Got one?

Hi,

Has anyone got one of these? I've just had mine delivered.

First impressions? Er, might be an idea to bevel the l/e of the rudder eh? Or is it designed only for left hand circuits? And the fin/rudder has the biggest warp you have ever seen! CNC'd from a sheet of liteply or similar. Bad idea!

Apart from that and a few other niggles it doesn't look too bad.

Would welcome your experience with this model.

Neil

p.s. import duty and tax on this one was £53.00!!!

That's the most I've paid over the last 5 years! I'm sure they just make it up?

Yea,. I have one,.. review should be coming up soon,....

and I must say, it does fly very nice. Mine didn't have a beveled edge on the rudder either, and if you haven't gone and worked on it already, you will notice it takes some time to get it since it is made of lite-ply.

We were discussing this a few weeks ago in the Parkflier forum, and there were photos and setups given there. Here is the link to that discussion, I believe that will help you out pretty good. If you have any other questions, feel free to send me an email anytime.

btw, you probably all know this but…

I found that the Pentel NN50 marker matches the covering. Ideal for tidying up the 'exposed' liteply bits. The l/e, t/e of the pylon for example. I used the same technique, using yellow and orange hilighter pens on my ThreeDee.
