January 25, 2014 Club Fly-In

What started as a chilly morning with 2-3 mph winds turned into a shirtsleeve afternoon with calm winds. Ideal flying conditions if you could tough it out to the noon hour. Maybe our winter fly-ins should start around 11?

No maidens today. But there was plenty of action in the air. Seven pilots showed up including Jerry, Ross, Jack, Pat, Ruben, Tom and Marc.

Unfortunately I didn't get many photos as I was troubleshooting my DLE-30 that keeps dying when I fly inverted. My fellow club members spent considerable brain power on a solution but no smoking gun was found. So I got to practice 6 or so dead stick landings. One thing that did seem to help was when I inverted the tank in the plane so that may be a hint. But my next step is a new tank with new plumbing. I'm accepting any and all help on a solution.
