Help me name this monster truck

So this monster truck seems Cool. Its Old i know this but it may still run. The story is i found it in a Neighbors trash he said he didnt want it but it ran and i took it and it powered up but the batter was too weak to move it. I bought a New 2000 Mah 7.2v batter pack on ebay + charger for 10$. My big question is WHAT Brand is this. 2nd Is it worth going to a New remote +reciever+ brushless or just Play with it till i burn it up?

It's worth it. It looks like a tamiya but not certain. I have only been back in hobby since nov. But it looks like one a buddy had when I was a kid.

i wouldnt go with more than a 3000kv motor. if you wreck the gears with a super powerful motor you will have a real hard time finding replacements. look into ezrun esc/motor combos, and check out hobbyking for cheap servos and 2.4 ghz radios

Honestly, as old as that gearing is, I don't think I would go with a brushless setup. You can get a decent brushed motor for cheap. It would definitely be gentler on the drivetrain.

Thanks. Yeah so i just got the new battery .. The problem is the speed controler is garbage its original old school disc thing and the remote.
So update: Reworked the remote. Resoldered some internals and wires put a new potmeter into the trigger and a new/used Dynimite power pulse speed controler and 1hr later im up and runing) now to run it for a day or 2 get my Joy's out of it and sell her to someone who collects em.
