Yes it gets hot. Fly for 5 min and rest for 20 min to let it cool down.
If it breaks , throw Cx4 in garbage.

I do not know. It does have heat sinks on the motors.
I live in Ohio and it will be a while before I fly it: Cold, Wet, and windy. don

The heat sinks may be a nice idea, but they didn't/ don't work for beans on a CX2 or 3. If you read the early parts of this thread, we bounced around different motor ideas, but I don't think anybody did any experimenting with it because it was a heli Eflite was getting out of.

Yes, I have read about the problems. My 1st heli was a cx2. I now have a cx,cx2,and cx4 and other helis and quads. (mcx2,msr,nano cpx,mcpx,120sr,B400,mqx,180qx,350qx, Alias, protox, ethospq, and Hubsan x4)
I will only fly the cx's for a few minutes at a time.
Outdoor flying time in Ohio is hard to get so I fly indoors most of the time and on the rare days with little wind go out side. My 350 qx has not been in the air yet!

I'm only 3 miles from lake Ontario and we have a constant breeze to fight. In the middle of August it's still windy. I usually fly for an hour before sundown because of this.
