since it was my first time, the method might seems a bit weird to experienced modelists, and maybe wrong, but it worked just fine for me!!the materials i used for the boat is 4mm plywood, putty and lots of reisin in order to seal all wood surface.some more pics of process and installing the kmb 28 hydrojets

good morning bill.it was easy to find the plans cause i work in that vessel.
But the plans were not for cloning beacuse the dimensions were not exactly scaled so i had to modify them a little bit.

test run

finally after almost 2 years,my boat falls into water for the first time!this video shows a test run, because i had some issues with the balance and i had to add some weight (2,6 kg total) but still need more tests before its completely right.the thorttle is about 70% and i think i need to use trim tabs.feel free to comment!!

Hi Yianni,

Nice build!

Love the details, but that's no problem for you, when you work onboard this vessel...

Regarding the running attitude; you should have paid more attention to how the jets are installed, those thick edges act like a brake, pulling the rear end down.

The transition from bottom to the jet intake shouls be smooth, without sharp edges, see how others did it.

Also, the tall superstructure seems a bit heavy, maybe a lightweight rebuild would remedy the heeling.

Regards, Jan.

Thanks for your comment Jan!
On the early first test i did,not that on the video that i have uploaded, was without the extra weight i've added. The boat could't lift its bow out of water.maybe now its too heavy on the back but i'll do some more tests and take out some of the extra weight,in order to be balanced. The superscructure might seems a little heavy but it isn't!The hull weights 11kgs and the scructure is 1,2 kgs.the inside details are all out of paper.anyway i'll do some more modifications and hope to upload a new, better video
Regards,yiannis
