Build Log
Boston Typhoon

Hi everybody this is a build log on the Mountfleet Boston Typhoon http://www.mountfleetmodels.co.uk/boston-typhoon.html

1/32 scale @ 55.5 inches long a little smaller than the Nectan.

Looks like a nice kit, fiberglass seems a little rougher than the last kit but very little clean up!

Here we go!

Yessss...I'm the client and this will be another of Jeff's superb builds, as good as Nectan....or better if that is possible! Typhoon is a bit smaller than Nectan but still a nice size to appreciate the model in the water. It is a beautiful model and it was going to be my second choice since the initial plan was to give Jeff Sir Lancelot, but it was out of stock...it will be next!

He just finished Aziz which came out great as we all saw....but there is something special (at least in my amateur opinion), about Mounfleet kits that no other manufacturer that I know of has, their range, as they call it, is superb, you can't go wrong w any you build...or own. I ordered the kit from the new owner by phone and it took---72 h---to get from Doncaster, England to Jeff's place, why does it takes 3 days to deliver a parcel from the UK to the US and about 4-5 from the US west coast to the east coast remains a mystery to me. The motor we are using maybe a little too fast but we can always replace w a MACK twin powerhouse 2540, both motors have the shaft at exactly the same height. Winter is almost here soooo let's sit, relax and enjoy the build folks!

ps: I think Typhoon is a first one here

Forgot to say this:

--If anyone wants to purchase one of their kits: buy directly from Mountfleet, it will be cheaper than to buy it from any seller here in the US (there is only 2 I believe), that is w shipping included.
