I was expecting 'hugely impressive' to be an overstatement, but it wasn't. That is very cool.

The stabilized camera platforms are everywhere -
You need no flight skills whatsoever to operate them
the level of sophistication in stabilizing and accuracy of positioning is amazing.
For the newcomers- - these devices are available for pocket change $30 .00 will get you a small indoor one which operates using the same technologies.
The guidance systems provide flight position -relative to the earth and attitude relative to earth - actually easier than driving a basic car. The same technology is also available now in fixed wing models .
for a couple of hundred bucks -a trainer model will fly unaided or with selectable degrees of pilot assist
Further the GPS included will restrict distance flown and return model to original launch point.
Very appealing application of the technologies.

Very impressive and very reasonably priced. And very user friendly. I can see these and clones of this sort of thing becoming the new "GoPro". Even wilder will be combining first person footage with stand off drone footage.
