Spar and sail plan, and period (modern, early 1900's) ?
How true to prototype do you want to get - e.g. realistic-looking twisted line or any kind of rigging line?
You should get a lot of input on this forum.
Enjoy the build!

Harken makes a line of scale modern blocks, tracks, turnbuckles, etc. Google should turn that up easily. There's a couple of makers of scale extruded aluminum spars. Again, a search for that term should turn something up. A while back I saw hardware such as boom goose-necks on a site, but my bookmark to it gets a 404.

Scroll down and click the: "Go Advanced" button

Scroll down to see: + "Drag Files Here or Click to Browse" and click which will open a Explorer window where you can find your file to attach on your PC

You can insert your picture into the text by clicking the paper clip in the toolbar just above where you type and select the attachment you want from the list:

Marko,

Nice looking hull - what's the full size version of her called?

For parts etc I've had very good service from cornwall model boats (google etc will get you to the website) and for electronics (servo's, winches etc) I can recommend servoshop.co.uk

Best of luck with the rest of the build, I await your updates - I'm currently part way through a J class although progress has been virtually non-existent lately - pressures of life precludes any decent workshop time...

Hi Twister J this is called a "Dragon " Dutch design from about 1930 s its been through a lot
of changes over the years ,but as its called a "one design class" the only changes each time to present day have been subtle . those photos are a bit naff l will put some more on soon ,also this isn't going to be a quick build, lve no plans as such only the full size to copy !!!
Where are you in the UK and have you any pics of your "J" class ??

Any further progress yet Mark, or are you being kept too busy building the full size versions? I guess you work for Petticrows - they certainly produce some of the most beautiful Dragons currently being built, personally I'd love to commission one of their cold moulded hulls although I fear the cost may be somewhat prohibitive!!

My J class build can be found here;

http://www.rcsailing.net/forum1/show...rise-build-log

As you'll see, not much progress recently although I'm hoping to get some decent workshop time once the weather warms up a bit - epoxy is just too slow below 10 degrees (& of course, shivering in a cold, north facing workshop is not conducive to producing decent work).
