Hobbyking GL-Speedy 'hotliner'

Who is going to be the first to snap the wing on the new Hobbyking GL-Speedy 'hotliner' then? A bargain at $83 but I can't imagine it will take much abuse with a built up wing!

Speedy.

Looks like it is the old FlyFly Speedy that's been around for a few years.

The review video is a bad joke... (the setup and flying, not necessarily the plane)

Whos gonna stick 2kW in it first?

it comes with a wooden wing joiner, 6mm x8mm ,it will break for sure , canopy is flimsy but a nice glider anyway . similar to a blase or bllizzard in size. love my blaze.

Hi,
I have a Speedy with TR 35-48-B 900kv motor (http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s..._Eq:_AXi_2826), aeronaut prop 11x8, Hyperion 4S G3 battery, result power between 700 and 800 watt. No problem with cg.

One of my mates flew the speedy and it goes pretty well. He pumped about 1200w into it. But do not make any sudden direction changes or the wing WILL fold. You can stick fiber tape across the center of the wing (top and bottom) as this will help hold the wing together in the event that it does happen. The wing of his speedy snapped on a sudden elevator pull but the tape held the wings on, with a dihedral, (barely) for him to make an emergency landing.

ong! Did the joiner snap or was it another section of the wing that was weak?

Hey has anyone gotten one of these and taken the steps necessary to strengthen it? Or...for those of you who have one is it worth even doing that?

What's up wastegate?!

It snapped right smack at the center, the joiner was snapped in half.
