we need to start a new one anyway! There are a few working on there projects but I think it is the weather that is slowing things down. I know it is colder then heck here and I will not be flying again until next summer. We may get a few to chim in here and let us know what they are doing.

Yep that dynamax fan is sweet, sweet, sweet. But the Hoayes sound good. I have a 100mm hoaye on a nitroplane 50" bobcat.

Anyone ever heard of sickle edf units? Any work on those? They have 8 blades, but look really cheap.

I use them and so does corsair nut. Gary from Efflux rc sells the skyworld all aluminum edf unit wit the 8 blader fan. Its great sounding. Performance is 1200 watts max before grenading. They will soon offer carbon rotors for high watt setups. Check out the efflux rc thread.

You think 2 90mm sickles with 1600kv outrunners would power a Honda jet?

90mm hoayes are hard to come by at the moment.

Yes, but I was talking about the 70mm sizes. I am not sure about the 90's breaking points. Id check with gary on that. I have two of the 90's but never used them yet. That skyworld/efflux shroud is awesome!! Dissipates heat like a lander and is lighter and nicer than a lander. If you use the 1600kv motors on only 6s max Im sure it will be fine. If ya try 8s per side Id be a bit concerned.

I can ask gary what they can handle if ya want? As the rotors are pretty much the same.

Hey Joe,
Don't know the limits of the 90mm 8 blade rotor yet.
I ran the Skyworld 70mm EDF (8 blades) to 1413 watts last night (static) Those rotors hold up very well.

The Dynamax sounds way better than the Haoye, not to mention an extra 4+ pounds of thrust on the same exact battery/motor setup!

I am in need of one as well, on a serious note, is there a chance of two?
