What worked for me here in NZ was I went to a company that specialised in laminating photos, menus, placemats etc and spoke nicely to them and scored the "ends of rolls" which is the bit left on the roll when it will no longer feed through the machine. Each end I got had enough to do about 3 aircraft and the best thing was it was free (they just throw it out anyway) Perhaps if you were going to make a habit of it you may want to front up with a packet of choccie bikkies for their tea break.
