Can anyone point me in the direction of a doculam supplier in the UK? I don't really want to buy a whole roll so if someone sells it in smaller quantities that would be great. Thanks .

What worked for me here in NZ was I went to a company that specialised in laminating photos, menus, placemats etc and spoke nicely to them and scored the "ends of rolls" which is the bit left on the roll when it will no longer feed through the machine. Each end I got had enough to do about 3 aircraft and the best thing was it was free (they just throw it out anyway) Perhaps if you were going to make a habit of it you may want to front up with a packet of choccie bikkies for their tea break.

last time I got some they gave me two different thicknesses and the thinner was the better of the two. I really can't remember the actual thickness. The thicker stuff I used on top of the covering to simulate hatches, fuel tank panels etc. Not sure how I will get on next time round as the business has fallen down (along with the rest of Christchurch!) so I'll have to track them down.
BTW I spoke to them about laminating film rather than Doculam as film is more generic term than using a Trade name.
