Redwings's New 330 (30 and 50cc)

Redwing just put up some photos of the new Extras due in late April.
30cc and 50cc.
I am thinking about going electric on a Blue 30cc size bird. I have an Electric 48" Extra and 55cc 330sc gasser. That electric bird is just so easy to load and fly but it would be nice to be a bit larger. I think this is my answer!

They have some nice planes. I have a 30CC MXSR that I put a Motrolfly 4330 motor in and I'm waiting for a nice day to try it out. They do not make it easy to electrify them though. I'm looking at their Slick also.

I just saw their Slick for the first time this weekend. I was not a fan of the scheme in the photos but holy cow... when I saw it I was hooked. I really think the Redwing Slick will be my next plane. What is the biggest roadblock to go electric with the MXSR?

Just a lotta work. I bought an adjustable motor mount from HH rather than having to make standoffs. Not as pretty but works. I had to make a battery box because the battery goes all the way up under the cowl to get the CG right. I didn't mean to imply they make it hard, they just do not add in the electric option like 3DHS. But they do fly nice.

Here's a link to some pix.

Did you hear if their container came in? I would like to see the Slick and the 330 side by side...
I was leaning towards the Slick but this scheme looks good on the 330.

I'm getting the Extra in a couple weeks, planning on doing a build series on my blog on RCG. Nice plane, I may also get the power combo offered by RedWing.

So, I totally crashed my MXS-R. Tim at Redwing RC feels bad and is giving me a little discount. What a great guy! Now I have all the setup for a 30cc, but don't know if I should go back with my MXS-R or get the new 330 or another one. Ahhhhh so much pressure. What do you guys thing?

Get another MXS-R, I don't want the 330 to sell out before I get one!

I just have a few flights on my MXSR and it's very responsive. It'll get ahead of you in a hurry. I think I'll really like it when I get used to it.

You know, I have a 30cc MX2 (converted to electric), and this 330 has a 4" bigger wingspan, and 2" longer. It's also 1lb lighter. I think this one's a keeper!!!
