My plans is to use a 120mm EDf with 10 cell. The EDF will be much like Knife Liddle's http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showt...5#post19924039. So far will use the EH 1.59.0 airfoil. Used this one before on another scratch built which worked out great with about 2 degrees washout. Wing span is going to be 75" , fuselage 60".

There's a number of these Luft '46 planes that need to be modeled.
I built the Flitzer, which has similar intakes, and still needed a cheater for ample power with an EDF55 fan at around 28" span or so. If I did it again, I would not be surprised if a well powered 50mm Microfan would perform as well, without the cheater. These Luft '46 jets don't give us much intake for large fan sizes, as I had to cheat on my FW225 also. At your size, built reasonably light, one of these powerful 70mm setups producing nearly 3lbs should perform well.

It is good to have an airfoil section that has worked well for you, like your EH section. The planes below, as well as several others all have GWS ME109 replacement wings. They seem to perform even better when swept, than when straight.

This is the Jepe retracts up to 4kg. Not suitable for your project ( I will use them in my Miniwave project)

Think twice if you want to build high swept deltas. I have a Horten13B which is very sensitive to elevator throws and it is very easy to bleed off speed in a curve and if not lucky, entering a spin. But as for all Luft'46 planes, they all need skilled pilots and like to be flown with care.

I built one scratch from that same three view for ICDF. It was an excellent flier. It had about a 50" wingspan as I recall. It was on 72mHz channel 44 and got shot down on final after about 55 flights. I've always meant to do another so much I have the three view on the wall above my building table to keep me reminded. It flew with a KB7.5 at first and was later upgraded to a Dynamax w/ OS91.

I am in contact with those jet pilots that built these Me-p.1111. They are from Germany, the 2 machines are built of wood, sorry no kits made so far. When I know more, I will let you know.

Just showing some progress. The fan is a 4 blade 120mm Haoye and motor T600-880.
Still have questions on installation of flight controls. Previous models similar to this, I tried using the inboard control surface as elevators and outboard as ailerons.
The elevators seemed sluggish in slow speed operation. I think it was because the root cord thickness was blocking some of the airstream across it. I did not try to increase the surface area of the elevator, instead I increased the aileron length to 75% span and made it into an elevon. This improved functions of the control surfaces. Elevon was set up 60% aileron and 40% elevator.
I sure would like comments from PlumberJohn and Erik v. Schaik on how they set up there planes.

Wing is going to be foam core MH-60 and a washout of 3 degrees.

I did mine with full span elevons. They had a few degrees of reflex in them and they were very effective. It flies like a sport plane this way and is much easier to setup.

The top is sheeted and ready for the bottom. I am thinking of using some Liquid Sheeting from WoW planes to give the foam a hard surface. I hear a lot of good things about this stuff but unsure about its shear strength. My intentions were to epoxy glass the surface with 2oz cloth. But may use 2oz cloth with Liquid Sheeting instead. Still experimenting.
The duct is 2 layers 6oz Soft Drape cloth.

Glass cloth with Minwax Polycrilic. (Water based Polyurethane)
After you sand the thing to final shape/finish

Ask Falcon5 about the liquid sheeting, he purchased it from the manufacture directly and has used it. I don't think it is ment to be used with glass, but to take the place of it... Glass/wbp,,, Not near as Strong as glass and resin, and it is heavier than a properly done glass/resin job.... W

Most of my builds is with 2oz - 3.6 oz glass and PolyC or glass and epoxy resin. This build is more of a stress skin design. So I need sheer strength in some areas.
So it looks like I will use 3.6 or 5.6 oz plain weave cloth with 2oz cloth over it. Or try a sample of liquid skin to fill the weave instead of the 2oz cloth.
