i sort of understand now but my head hurts lol

so from what was said it may pitch up and roll as soon as it lifts off with a rigid head?
i flexed the plastic head and then flexed the glass epoxy part after and id say the GE part was about twice as rigid,
it still flexed abit but probably not enough

Yes it's all good fun learning.........and I don't know a lot myself.......but.... I have found that the old "Tupperware type'' lid is the way to go. To this day my wife can not work out how she has lost those bloody lids.

any of you guys able to draw a CAD-drawing of the rotor plate? I can easily have these produced in aluminium but my drawing skills are too poor to even start on it...

Yes I have it drawn apart from positions of the 3 centre bolt holes, will post when finished I have a cnc myself and going to cut some from 1.5mm polycarbonate (lexan)

Aluminium will not work , the plate HAS to have flexibity, the flexing is essential for an Autogyro to fly. If you somehow managed to get it flying with aluminium then the flexing would work harden it and it will fracture quicker than the original part

Well I pulled the trigger on a n auto-g last night. Read most of this thread and I cant wait to get it in the air.\!

I am both a heli and fixed flier so this should be fun.

I also have a laser cutter so the cad drawing of the rotor hub would be a great thing to have. I work with plastics so I bet I could laser cut a BUNCH of plastic hubs pretty cheap... humm maybe I should put some on my website for sale LOL

I am a little confused they say 9g sevor... but metal gears in that size dont seem to match up.

do I go to the MICRO or MINI servo? (mini I guess) and those are like 13 g's ish is that ok?

maybe just a recommendation would be good to! thanks

I would suggest flying it first. They are fine flyers stock. I have dozens of flights on mine without any repairs or replacements. If you don't have any experience flying autogyros, I would suggest having someone hand launch for the maiden. They can be extremely tricky when ROG and likely to rotate to the left if the rotor is not up to speed.
