You guys are having a ball! Hopefully this sport will be starting up in the USA! I know these bikes are only 1/18th scale, but for clean laps I suggest to you guys to open up the lanes so the bikes have room to recover from minor driving errors and traction/road condition issues. I see on the videos that the track marshals are having to be very active restarting the fallen bikes. I think the lanes should be a minimum of 4'-5' and widen to 5'-6' (or more) in the turns and corners. I know the wider lanes would make the tracks shorter because of the restricted over all area of the rooms they are usually set up in, but the racing will be much cleaner and less marshaling. What do you guys think?

Yep, charge it and go, no problem.
Buy an extra battery and a spare steering spring. The spring brakes sooner or later by material fatigue, it's so annoying when they do (I'm on my 3rd spring now). You just can't do anything if it's broken. All the fun you planned is cut short.
That's my own experience for maximizing track time.

Have you tried the coloured steering springs.
If you have do they last any longer.

I might add that the stiffness colourcoding is absolutely not natural and easily understood, read the enclosed info.
I too had a whishful thinking they would last longer, but sadly no.
Well, my track is a carpet that we roll out on the floor every session once a week. It gets a little bumpy in storage and we have to live with that. The bumps are probably working the springs very hard, thus shortening their life. The constant crashing don't help either.

One thing i found out though: When running steepest steering angle, the front fender hits the steering spring when the fork is compressed. I cut that part of the fender away, at least one thing less beating the spring to death.
I also cut a piece of the fairing away, just behind the front wheel. Otherwise it rubs on the tire when the fork bottoms out on the bumps. These tricks are barely visible so you won't mess up the looks much.

Changes to track:

Scrape tires
Add between 6 and 10 grams of weight in the pilot
Stbilisateurs with bearing
Replace the stabilizer support with nylon rod
You can replace the wire direction of the guitar string and 0.30 mm
Adjusting gyro mini
